Concerned about change in behaviour

My son had his one year vaccinations 2 months ago, and since then his behaviour has changed and please don't tell me it's a coincidence because I know my son, it definitely isn't!

A couple of days after he had it, he became quiet and stopped talking. He can say various words and repeat what I say but now he stares at me. In the morning when he wakes up he always coos and makes noises, this time I check him and he is laying there with his eyes open staring at the ceiling!

I disagreed with giving him any vaccinations as I well and truly don't believe in them but it's my DH who insisted and I wish I stood my ground now! He has completely changed and I am really really terrified. I cannot cope with having an autistic child as that was one of the many things I was afraid of, him having having it!

I sound like a shit mum but it was my fault because I allowed them to inject him! Guys please can you tell me whether this is normal? Why isn't he saying anything and why is he staring at the wall all the time? He used to be very bubbly outgoing and loved outdoors but he isn't interested now! He doesn't take in anything I say.. Sad I have been damaged by vaccines in the past so I should've known better! He still hasn't improved in fact he's gotten worse now! He doesn't walk anywhere he just wants to sit and do nothing despite trying to play with toys he isn't interested

MMR has been scientifically proven NOT to cause autism. (Is this what he had?) The study that "proved" a link was a fraud and the person who published it was struck off.

jaimelannistersgoldenhand · 06/04/2018 18:34

The Meningistis B and Pneumococcal ones are the 3rd dose so he's had them before.
Nobody has ever linked Hib/Meningitis C to anything

jaimelannistersgoldenhand · 06/04/2018 18:36

Can you see a GP/Hv for reassurance?

MilkyCoffeeAndSkinnySyrup · 06/04/2018 20:15

Thanks for your reply! Yes the MMR he has had. I well and truly believe it does cause Autism but that's just from my peer reviewed research. I don't just Google random forums, I always make sure I find proper studies and links. I don't know... GP/HV are useless, they will only reassure me and say it is normal behaviour and not linked to the vaccine(s) which I know is bullshit because I know my child.

Work with where you are.
Look into probiotics - if it is the live vaccines/MMR part of the jabs, (and even if it isn't), you may be able to mitigate. Look at alternative health pracitioners too. It is also possible that the change is due to him incubating the 3 separate live viral strains and when that works out, he will be a lot better.

Have you had his ears checked? My DS has been the same. Poor love had so much wax in her ears she couldn't hear a thing.

JiltedJohnsJulie · 08/04/2018 13:12

Another vote for getting his ears checked, I’d also ask them to check his throat while you are there.

Does he have a temperature at the moment? How high did his temperature go after the vaccinations?

You cannot cope with having an autistic child?

Your work starts there. I have a 6 year old with Aspergers and a 21 month old that is not talking or pointing and is beginning to stim - so I'm prepared to follow the same route if need be.

You get what you are given. Vaccines are proven to have no correlation, perhaps he is just coming down with something. Ask for help, get him to the doctors - but please don't make it sound like autistic children are repulsive

TooGood2BeFalse · 10/04/2018 15:42

He's stopped walking?!!! GP asap!

Jestem · 20/04/2018 21:45

It's a coincidence.

Also, credible peer reviewed studies showing vaccines cause autism please?

AddictiveCereal · 22/04/2018 08:34

Babies change all the time - and you are making a leap to assume its down to the vaccine. My one year old has gone from being placid and easy going to now being much more assertive and tantrumy when she can't get her way. As she devrlops her language I imagine she'll chill out a bit more - but might change a bit for other reasons.

You can find a study that proves anything if you search - but you need to look at the weight of the studies overall - which show autism is not caused by vaccines.

My 3 children have had all their vaccines and one has autism. He was born with autism. He has a very happy life and is doing very well in school. There is nothing wrong with his life - he just has some issues he needs a bit more help with.

I would be more worried about leaving a child unvaccinated as you are exposing them to proven risks.
