Hi anyone got any tips for cradle cap? My 6 week old has it and I don't know what to do about it? We don't have our 6week check up until next week
Thanks

Dentinox shampoo helped us Smile

You don't need to do anything, it will come off by itself. Actually, there is a risk to infect if you try to scratch it/ take off. Ask about it during the check up - if doctor thinks it may be infected, they will give you antifungal cream, but otherwise try to ignore it!

Rub in coconut oil and leave to soften and lift for half an hour, then brush it out with a soft baby brush. Then wash as normal. I found this would remove 90% on the first go, and the remaining would come out with a second attempt. It was very satisfying!
Both of my DCs had a lot of it and it showed no sign of naturally shedding. They were about 6m when I finally tried to tackle it (DC1 thought it would sort itself out, DC2 I was too busy before that running around after DD1!).

I used baby oil or coconut oil then left for an hour then shampooed and it worked a treat.

The dentinox shampoo didn’t work for us and actually made it worse.
