Any advice please-my 5 week old cluster feeds for about 7 hours per night. Is this normal and when will it end?? He is breastfed and the later feeds last 10 minutes, he falls asleep but when I put him down wakens up straight away and cries until picked up when the cycle starts again.

Yes this is normal as long as your not getting any other feeding problems (clicking when feeding, mis-shapen nipples after a feed, cluster feeding 24/7) and baby is feeding normally at other times.
Unfortunately no one tells us how hard breastfeeding will be. It does end. My DS is now 8 weeks and is more efficient at feeding (5 minutes each side) so it doesn’t feel that im chained tothe sofa as much.
Its all worth it though. You’ve come this far and are obviously doing amazing. Hang on in there.

Yes @DLH77 my dd2 started cluster feeding around the same time. I’d put him down and no sooner was I putting him down he wanted more. I lived in the living room for anout 8 weeks, I’d find a program on telly and every time the baby fed I’d watch something to try and keep my eyes open. I never managed to get a bath for 6 months just the quickiest shower on recorded because gautinted baby would want something . just sail on through and try not to think about it to much your at your babys beck and call what ever they demand give it to them. You will find as time goes on it will ease of slowly. It’s true that after the 3 months it gets a lot easier for you both. Just keep telling yourself how great you are for breastfeeding and that you can do this. Well done you are doing a great job don’t beat yourself up about it. Also your post maybe better in (feed the world>infant feeding) x
