Hello Everyone,
This is my First Post. I am New In London Just migrated from Hong Kong . I am a full time Mom of my 13 month old Boy . Any advice how to participate in a play date . I am staying in Wandsworth . I got some suggestions for Nurseries and Child Activity Classes. But keen for play dates because in Hong Kong I used to participate in Play dates and it was so good that all mothers are so actively participating in their child's development that every week we used to organise various activities like story reading , painting , dance , singing , exercise, visiting Old age home with our babies and lots more .In such play dates the bonding of baby and mommy becomes stronger and during weekends fathers also used to join and all together it's perfect family time . And While I was moving to London,my friend in HK , she said in London Itz much better than Hong Kong , u will have much better playdate group so searching for one here ... Or keen to learn about Nursery if that's better for baby or family bonding ..
Any Suggestions will be appreciated 👍🏻Smile

You need to join a Mother and Baby group or a Mother and Toddler group.

They will be advertised as either Mums and Toddlers or Mums and Babies groups and tend to happen in community centres and church halls.

They're run by volunteers not usually by the Mothers themselves. There's often a small charge and basic snacks available. They have painting, singing, crafts and toys whilst the parents join in or watch and drink tea and coffee.

Join your Mumsnet Local group here on Mumsnet and ask for advice as to which ones are good close to your home.

What do you mean by play dates? Going to people's houses?

You can go to local children's centres they run lots of session - singing, messy play, story time, stay and play. It can be a good way to meet people, esp if you're new to an area.

If you're on Facebook join your local mums group for your area. Think there are a few in Wandsworth depending on where you live. There's alway groups and sessions being advertised.
