My daughter turned 2 last week and I'm worried about her development . She can put 2-3 words together but is quite quiet . She's not interested in learning colours /numbers /letters . I always talk to her and read books but she doesn't really stay still . She loved playing with her doll and happyland . I'm not sure if I should be actively teaching her these things or if it will come in time . Any advice would be great and suggestions on activities to do with her

I think it sounds Ok OP. Teaching toddlers should come in stealthy ways I think.

For eg. I taught both of my children left from right by always saying "Left!" as I put on the left shoe...and "Right!" as I did the right.

And counting as we walked up stairs rather than showing them numbers etc.

If she's quiet but can put 2-3 words together and is always busy, that sounds ok to me...

For activities, at this age they just love exploring...I found both of mine liked to have a selection of my kitchen tools...sieves, ladles, tubs and pans...and some water or sand to play with.

Messy but if you do it on the kitchen or patio floor, then not so bad.

Also, painting and playdoh...things which are tactile.

She sounds normal op 2 is really young still! I find counting the things they like helps, so if she likes happy land then count up the happy land figures! Point out the colours of her doll pram/clothes or duplo bricks if she likes those. Don't make it a separate activity and don't worry she'll suddenly learn stuff and you won't even know how
