Language help: muddling me, you and I

I'm really pleased with dd's language development, but she's constantly getting me, you and I the wrong way round, ie she refers to herself as YOU not ME. eg. when she wants picking up she will say "mummy pick you up".
I'm sure it will sort itself out in the end if we are patient, but does anyone have a tips for helping her with this?

How old is she? I think it's something that just does right itself. DS (3.4) used to be very mixed up and now generally isn't.

Pretty common. When she is talking and should say 'I',hold her hand and tap it on her chest and mouth 'I'.
For 'you' do the same only to yourself.

i see a lot of kids with this problem (as a salt) and this often helps and avoids the confusing scenario of you pointing to yourself and saying 'you'.

So damned complex it's a wonder anyone gets it frankly!
