Tips on toddler staying dry at night

My lb started potty training just after he turned two in may. He was still being breastfed until end of august so I never started night training as he was still waking for breast through the night. He's no longer breastfed and I want to get him out of Nappies altogether. He often wets himself when in pants at nap time and he still has a heavy nappy in the morning even though he has a wee before he goes to sleep. Any suggestions on how I can get him dry at night?

It'll happen naturally when he's ready.

Yep night-dryness is hormonal so not much you can do to speed it up. Are his nappies heavy/wet in the morning? Does he wake in the night if he needs a wee?

Agree that 2 is probably young to be dry at night. My 3 boys potty trained fairly easily around 2 1/2 but was closer to 3 1/2 -4 before being dry at night. You can maybe encourage less drinking in the evenings and taking him the toilet regular before bed and straight away when he wakes in the morning but ultimately he'll get dry in the night in his own time
