My son is 9 weeks old hes perfect, in the 98th percentile looks and behaves healthy and reaching all his milestones but he does this one thing that really worries me, he will breathe very fast like a gasping for air over and over so he makes a gasping noise each time he scrunches his face up... eyes closed and sonetimes slightlg bobs his head back and forth and he also waves his hands in front of him. Feels like it lasts a minute but probably lasts about 20 seconds. I thought it was only when we went out to the cold it happened but has now been happening when hes waking up and has also happened when hes waiting for me to undo my bra and got unpatient. I do feed on demand and very rarely he cries. Is this a panic attack? I cant find anything online... it breaks my heart when he does it and i comfort him instantly but im not sure if that really healps because it always last about the same amount of time. Poor boy. Rhis has been going on for two weeks now. Doesnt happen every day. I was waiting to ask monday at his 8 week check but had tonsilitis so couldnt go. His appointment is now next tuesday... do you think i should make an appointment vefore to check this?

I'd take him to the doctors asap if I was you, that doesn't sound normal but I could be wrong..

I'd also take him to get checked out. I watched a TV show once where a baby was doing similar to what you describe and it turned out to be seizures.

If it happens again take a video on your phone so you can show the doctor as it will be helpful for them to actually see it happening.
