my 15 month old stands on her tiptoes, she is not yet walking or starting to cruise, but she walks when i hold both her hands yet always on her tiptoes.
Will she learn naturally to put her heels flat on the ground?

Many babies begin by toe-walking, she will most definitely progress to beginning each step with heel contact. There is really nothing to worry about at this age with regards to foot issues - however if you are really worried your GP could refer you to an NHS podiatrist specialising in children, I do have a degree in Podiatry but only did basic paediatrics, however at this age much advice is given in reassurance. Good luck

My son did this and he had child physio for 18 months because he was unable to his heel down to the floor at the age of two year old. He was also crawling 99% of the time at two years old so we saw a community paediatrian and child physio.

It was daft in that the health visitor was convinced that we should see a podiatrist and our GP thought we should be refered to the child development centre, so we saw both. I found the child development centre more helpful as they were able to assess me son's development more throughly. My son had delayed development in several areas. It was good to find out that his lack of speech was caused by deafness and not related to toewalking.

My son started child physio at 25 months, he wore orthoric inserts and we did daily stretches. He was discharged from physio at 3 and half years old. At five years old my son runs everywhere and enjoys gymnastics.

My son still toewalks, but can choose to put his heels to ground if he wants to. I am just glad he can walk and I don't care if his gait is funny. However he is a happy little boy with lots of friends.

My DD walked on her tip toes for a while probably until she was 2. My podiatrist said it was totally okay and she will develop strong high arches!!
