Teething but can't hold teething ring

My LO is 12 weeks and already showing lots of signs of teething - red cheeks, excessive dribbling, chewing on anything near his mouth and being generally irritable. The problem however is he hasn't yet learnt how to grasp things and get them to his mouth so while he loves chewing things if you hold them for him he can't do it himself. Anyone any ideas of how we can help apart from lots of encouragement to teach him how to hold things?

DS didn't ever use a teething ring.

Bonjela. Lots of bonjela. And cuddles.

I wish I'd had shares in bonjela.

First one came through at 16 weeks and he had 16 teeth by 14 months old.

Tommee tippee do a teething dummy - stays in like a dummy but wide and flat where the teat would be. It was a total lifesaver with my eldest!

@Rockchick1984 thanks, I'll look into that. We've found a glove with teething bits attached too now so will give it all try 🙂

Teetha powders a godsend. They say put it on the tongue but run it right onto the gums!!

Nuby do similar teething dummies that PP has suggested. Bonjela or anbesol (slightly easier to get in right place as liquid instead of gel that slips off your finger!)
When DS started teething at 8 weeks I bought the crappiest, lightest teether I could find (essentially it was just a thin, flat bit of plastic in the shape of an elephant with a hole in the middle to allow him to hold it) and found that if I put it in his hand he started to get the hang of putting it to his mouth.

Nelsons teething powders are also great or Ashtons?! I think thats the make.
