Neurotypical GrinGrin

The SALT people also don't have any worries about him and he is discharged from Early Years. God it is so nice to have the validation that my instincts were right all along. I know most people walk into these appointments wanting a diagnosis but I wasn't one of them.

What were the Sencos wringing their hands over? Do you have an action plan for dealing with them or are they resolved now?
Glad you got the result you wanted though, it must be a relief!

Well his first SENCO at his preschool when he was 2.5 was wringing her hands over him throwing a toy pig on the floor (i shit you not). Every time I went in there to pick him up she'd corner me and tell me some random event that had taken place where she had thought his behaviour or reaction was peculiar to her.

I ended up removing him from that preschool for unrelated reasons and he then started at a different, smaller preschool at 3. He had speech delay so the SENCO was involved and she flip flopped about his behaviours generally and couldn't be sure he was 'normal'. In the last few months of preschool she admitted to me that she was no longer concerned about him but by then his primary school (he starts in Sept) wasn't happy with the feedback she had given them and so pushed for a professional assessment.

So it was lovely today to have two SALT tell me his speech was very good and they were really pleased with him - no concerns and have the Paediatrician determine he was totally normal and she had zero concerns.

I am over the moon 😍
