Baby won't be put down

I have a 10 week old little girl who has always been a good sleeper and had been starting to do longer stretches of sleep at night. However, in last couple of days it's like she's become a completely different child! She's waking every one to two hours and will not be put down at all - wakes up and starts crying every time we try! I think she is going through a leap at the moment which could explain it but myself and DH are completely exhausted so any thoughts or advice would be gratefully received! Smile

Have you tried a sling? My DS was the same around that age and can be abit like that now at 4 months. Sometimes I have to wait almost 20 minutes until I can put him down, babies can take a lot longer to fall into a deep sleep so just because he's closed his eyes he's not fully asleep! Used to be a nightmare and even still I don't have much time once I have finally put him down. I have found white noise / lullabys help so much too with helping him go off etc.
Goodluck! ❤️

Thanks Ashleexex, that's really helpful advice. We do have a sling which has been helping during the day but it's nights that are becoming really difficult. Will definitely try the 20 minute wait tonight!

No problem! My little one can take a good half hour before he's flat out. If I even think about putting him down earlier he's wide awake and it's back to the beginning again😴 Even now when we put him down in his chair I try to keep the rocking sensation going either rocking myself or in his swing.

I'd second the sling. If you want something you can wear while you sleep you could try a top from vija designs (www.vija-design.co.uk). I used one in hospital with my LO who would only sleep on my chest the first night (after 24 hours labour and then a c-section) and then generally at home after. They are really secure for LO though you have to sleep on your back. My LO was born 6lb5oz and he fitted into it comfortably until he was 6 months so although they're quite expensive they do last well.
