Is it common for 10mo to know where their head and tongue are when asked or is this considered early?

I have a video of ds pointing to and saying the words for head, nose, mouth, tongue, knees, tummy, fingers feet. At 18 months. I think that's about standard. Can't remember when he started to recognise and point to body parts but yes I think 10 months old is a little ahead. Bright little button Grin

I agree average is about 18 months or a coyote of months earlier so 10
Months is early.

I'd say 18 months, but my first child knew them very early....but is in no way advanced 10 years on.

My dgs started picking them out at about 10 months. His childminder took him to lots of groups that sang 'heads shoulders knees and toes'. He's always been a great one for joining in with actions! That said, he turned 2 on Saturday and has been speaking in 5 and 6 word sentences since about 20 months. I think language is going to be his thing.
