Advice or reassurance wanted please.

He grunts and moans and sometimes choking noises (no sick though), mostly overnight. His eyes are closed and I don't know if I should leave him or pick him up for a cuddle (which makes no difference). Can he be asleep but still grunting??

I think he has trapped wind as he screams after a feed sometimes. I burp him but HV said to cycle legs and tummy massage too, but how can you do this if he is tensed and legs pulled up??

Thank you for any help. He is my 2nd child, but feel totally clueless still...

Hi, my baby did exactly same thing from 3 weeks. I spoke to health visitor who recommend infacol as it sounds like colic (they say breastfed babies don't get colic but she has it) and they came and showed me some baby massage techniques for colic. Both made a massive difference however haven't taken it away completely and she still does it a little. Made enough of a difference for it to be manageable tho. She's 10 weeks old now! Hope this helps x

I will ask chemist for infacol.
I have left him grunting and squirming tonight and had lots farts out of him.

Hope it works! My gp also advised me to limit dairy in my diet as it can upset their tummy if breastfeeding. I can have milk but any small amount of cheese and I know about it! Might be worth a try too x
