Toddler tantrums

I have a 30 month old and for the past couple of months her tantrums have become constant

She had about 8 before 9am. She is contrary about everything, eg screaming "cuddle mummy, go away mummy, cuddle mummy" all within the space of a minute

She's well fed, shouldn't be tired or anything

Is this normal to scream and cry most of the day? And if so when does it get better?! I'm 25 weeks pregnant so perhaps she senses it!

How is she in herself? Has she recently been unwell? How is her speech?

Lots of different things can cause tantrums. Dr Sears has some good articles Smile

What do the tantrums look like? 8 be for 9 am sounds like a lot. My dd is almost 2 and cries fairly regularly- anytime she doesn't get her own way in fact-but I wouldn't really class them as a tantrum because they are relatively short lived a rend easily overcome. Are these full on, red faced, screaming snotty, throwing herself on the floor jobs or a bit of crying?

I just wanted to post on here as I have literally put on the same thread only the other week saying my DS 29 months is having horrendous tantrums! I'm exhausted and the behaviour sounds so similar I'm wondering if it's the peak of terrible two's?! I read somewhere that 2.5 yrs is the age of negativity! My son is constantly dropping to the floor, hitting, saying go away! I'm praying age 3 he will become an angel! Must be an age and independence thing x

Interesting Pam! Nice to know I'm not alone at least. Yes, it's exhausting!
