Hi all,
I need some ideas. We live in London in a very nice spacious home without a private garden but opposite a very large nice park. My girls asking me when they can grow something or have a tree house. If we move from our home and buy a new one with a private garden in the same area, we would have to add a very substantial amount to have a garden, which would be quite difficult for us to get. We don't consider going ouside of our neighbourhood. I was also considering buying a cheap country cottage with minimal investament for weekend. Did anybody consider something like that? what would you do?

I grew up in London with no garden. It was fine. We just went to the park a lot.

You can grow plants indoors, simple things like cress or bigger things in pots. Very few children will have a garden big enough for a tree house. I don't think buying a cottage for the weekend is necessary! Go to the parks a lot, maybe see if you can find an urban farm to visit or even an allotment?
