hi
My eldest daughter is 7. She is becoming more and more aggressive as the time goes on.
I have a 3 year old and I'm 36 weeks pregnant and I'm now finding it impossible to look after her. I feel like a complete failure.
when she was little she was so lovely and easy to look after.
now she punches kicks swears and spits and won't listen to a word anyone says.
she is unbearably rude and I have spent the last 2 weeks in tears daily over her behaviour.
At school she is a model student, top of the class, always chosen for things as she's so well behaved, never been in trouble. however she comes home and honestly you would think she had been raised by animals.
She screams like she is being murdered over nothing for instance just now I put sun cream on her and because she didn't like how it felt she blew her fuse and ended up laying on the dining room floor telling me she was going to punch me in the stomach and kill the baby.
She did the same this morning and her dad sorted it out and the moment he left to go to golf she started again.
The other day she didn't want peppers in her dinner so her dad removed them and gave them to our youngest who likes them and because of this she once again was screaming blue murder, I am honestly surprised no one has called the police after hearing her it's awful.
She's so different at school then at home and I'm starting to lose the will to live with her. we used to be so close I just don't know what's happened.

She tells me she hates me daily. all her anger is taken out on me and she's getting stronger and more aggressive by the day. I have to take her sister away from her as she gets caught up in it.
please help. any advice please.

I can't offer any advice on how to resolve the behaviour as my son is very young but could it be a negative reaction to the fact that a new baby is about to come into your family?

Maybe she's not so happy about it. Rather than talk about it some children exhibit it in their behaviour.

I'm not sure I can offer advice as my daughter is going through something quite similar. I think it definitely sounds like she is reacting to your pregnancy though. Would you be able to fuss over her and take her out or do something just the two of you. I went out to a cafe with mine. We dressed up and had nice cakes and a lovely chat. It's just so hard to find the time for her that she needs as she's got two younger brothers, I work full-time and all of them are very clingy with me. I'm just trying to pay her as much attention as I can. Sneaking in lots of cuddles when the little ones are busy and just generally showing her I'm interested in her, enjoy her company and want to know what she thinks about things.
