Lol thats is stranger, i did have to look twice & make sure the op was not from me

Honestly don't panic, i know it is easily done but milk is good for them, they are still babies at the end of the day, babies that obviously can't sleep without bottles lol

i think anything between 12 and 20 oz is whats recommended.

ScoobyDooooo · 16/03/2007 20:54

Hmm i was actually told by my hv 16oz was the recommended amount did i listen? No i think we all know are babies as long as they have a healthy diet with solids i don't think it harms them.

My children all love their milk.Up til the age of 15mths they had 9oz at 7am,5oz at 10am and 3pm and 9oz at 7pm.Loads of people said that they were drinking too much but they loved it.It didnt really effect their meals til the age of 14/15mths hence why I dropped the daytime milk at that age. They then would have 9oz at 7am and 7pm.
They are now 3,5 and 7yrs and still drink 2 cups of milk a day-in the morning and in the evening. They probably have 5oz each time.
I changed over from bottles to cups somewhere between 18mths-2yrs depending on the child. They never fell asleep on the bottle, ran round with it(they just sat and drank milk and then it was done) and I always cleaned teeth after bottle/before bed so I didnt see it as a huge problem

My 15month old daughter has never slept through the night, and has recently started waking 3 times a night and won't go back to sleep without milk. I have tried CC and after 5 nights she broke me!! I am a single workig mum and am exhausted - has anyone got any advise?

ds had one bottle a day at 15mo of 6oz before bed. i cut the others to get him to drink milk from cup, but he won't. he seems fine, has plenty of yoghurt. sometimes he has nan extra night bottle if he wakes up. why does she need to drink 3 bottles in the day? just give the one at night so she will sleep...
