Crawling at 8 weeks old???

cece · 05/03/2007 20:12

No I meant for me chasing him around!

mollymawk · 05/03/2007 20:13

I read (somewhere) that it is very common for babies to be able to walk at 9 mths among the San people (hunter-gatherers in Botswana). Which I think is quite interesting.

And I tried that link in the article and got Eddie Murphy instead.

keep watching the clip, after the EM clip, the baby walking clips starts

I had a video clip of dd walking alongside the wall at 28 weeks old. She was like a mime artist where they pretend there is a glass wall and they have to walk along to feel the end iykwim? I lost it when my phone broke.

I also had a nightmare with her hv because she said at her 5 mth check "oh I can tell you are trying to make her stand it is much too early" and would not believe me that I wasn't. She insisted I had her in a walker or a bouncer when I knew I hadn't.

Nemo2007, often stories get in the local papers because a local reporter knows the family or hears the story in the local shop etc. That is how the local papers get a lot of stories (except now lots of locals make their reporters re-write press releases instead of sending them out into the community to find stories like this. Grrr)

The baby was on GMTV this morning and they were saying he was six months old now. Then he started tucking into one of the Danish pastries. At six months old????? I'd be asking to see the birth certificate!

LadyTophamHatt · 06/03/2007 10:26

I'll eat my hat if that baby is 8 months old.

nh101 · 06/03/2007 11:55

I know! And when asked about it the mother said "he just got up and started walking" What, no pulling himself up on furniture first and walking holding hands with mum? Whatever!

Alan · 06/03/2007 14:08

it was gmtv this morning

I think you ought to be very careful what you say. I would NOT like to get into a fight with his mother

Aloveheart · 06/03/2007 14:12

My ds was crawling and walking like nemo's. Walking round the furniture at 7months. NOt unaided though.

mumfor1standfinaltime · 06/03/2007 14:23

Just love the comments 'from readers' at the bottom of page..ridiculous!

My ds didn't walk unaided until 15 months, so nothing interesting there, but he did sleep through from 6 weeks, do I get a prize for that?

adath · 06/03/2007 15:53

nh101 my brother did not cruise or pull himself up at all he was crawling though and mum said to him some to mummu get your jacket on and he pulled himself up and walked acros the room and he was 9 months.
Me I never walked until 18 months cause I was a huge baby (was big from birth) and my wee spindly legs couldn't hold me up.
