Baby does not stop crying!

Advice please fellow mummy's!
My LO has just turned 16 weeks and will not stop screaming. He has always been a very fussy baby since a week old but it seems to have escalated and I am now losing the will to live.
To begin with in the early days he suffered with silent reflux and then colic both of which seems to have phased out. But since Christmas the crying has returned and it's worse! I've tried everything he just never seems to be happy. Sad I can't put him down for even 5 mins with a screaming fit. He struggles to sleep during the day and when he is about to drop off he wakes himself up and starts screaming again and the only way to stop it is to stand and rock him.
He is bottle fed and has 6oz every 2 hours even through the night.
I'm thinking of switching to comfort milk or hungry baby milk to see if that makes any difference.
Any other ideas will be greatly appreciated. Smile

I don't know what to suggest OP, but just to tell you many of us understand and sympathise. Ds2 screaming off-and-on throughout the night, for months, bought me to my knees and I sobbed in desperation.

Sincerely hope you get some respite and resolve.

But didn't you say you felt he was having too much milk for his age?
I did up it about 2 weeks ago but he was not drinking the extra oz so went back to 5oz. Perhaps I will up it to 6 again and see if he will have it now. However I definitely don't think he is hungry and don't think that's causing the issue.
I definitely know he is uncomfortable with something so like I said I am going to try reflux meds to see if it makes a difference.
As for the sleep it's a battle I have to win I guess but I'm hoping if it is reflux then meds could make him more comfortable and more able to sleep and stay asleep. It's worth a shot at least!

Good luck OP. I hope you get some resolution soon, even if just a small improvement. It's so hard, particularly when you don't have anyone around to help. My baby has just recently grown out of the bouncer chair that I used to be able to put her down in comfortably whilst I did a few things. It's tough when lying down flat makes them cry and you don't have anywhere else to put them!

Thank you. It is so hard! Everyone tells you having a baby is hard work but until you have one of your own you do t realise quite how hard it is especially when they arnt a happy baby. I wouldn't change him for the world though he is everything to me.
I will let you all know how I get on after seeing gp

I keep seeing this on a Facebook advert. Have no experience to offer myself but just thought I would share on the off chance that it may be helpful!
