Should I worry about DS height?

He's just turned 6 and is 110cm.

DH is 5ft 8 and I'm 5ft 2. DH was tiny until he was about 13 and then shot up to his princely height. He said he didn't care as - I quote - he ran with the cool crowd and could make everyone laugh - but DS is getting comments. I feel protective.

Oh, and he hardly ever goes up in shoe size. He's got teeny feet

Aw! My lovely little DS is 6.5 and 111cm. Size 9.5 feet, 17.4kg. I don't think there's anything to be overly concerned about if it's following a genetic pattern. My DH is only 5'6" so that's why my DS is tiny. Whilst I'm happy there's no underlying health conditions it is hard for him being smaller than his classmates. He's also the youngest in his class. Some of his peers are already wearing 9-10 clothing. They can all out-run him, out-kick him on the football pitch and generally he struggles with anything physical which has a massive effect on his self-esteem. I haven't read the thread on short-men but I married one and judging by this thread I'm not the only one so there must be hope!

No, don't worry. There is nothing you can do about it and he's bound to pick up on your negativity.

I have 2 sons. 1 is pretty short (takes after my family), his younger brother is tall just like dh. I used to worry about my shorter son being bullied, lacking self esteem etc til dh told me to give my head a wobble. Needless to say not one of my catastrophisations ever came true.
