no more daytime sleeps at 14 months!

Hi there, my ds1 is 14 months, he's always been a good sleeper during the day sleeping for at least one long 1.5 hr spell and then occaisionally another 40 mins in the afternoon if he's looking sleepy. He's recently been through a spell of teething and conjunctivitus which was pretty nasty but now that he's back on form he's decided life is too exciting and daytime sleeping is rubbish. This has coincided with him suddenly realising he can stand up in his cot. He now literally doesn't sleep at all during the day despite long drives down the motorway nad long walks in the buggy. He's not grumpy at all, infact he's on great form but it is effecting his night sleeping as he is regularly stirring and needing re settling. Has anyone else been through this, I'm hoping it's a phase as I'm not getting anything done round the house!

14 months is quite early to give up the daytime sleep but some do even earlier. If he doesn't even fall asleep in the car then he definitely doesn't need it. Fun, parenting, isn't it?

It could be just a growth/development spurt. My dd slept less when in one of those. He'll probably go back to his normal routine after that phase.
