play with their willies I mean?

My DS is ten months nearly and as soon as the nappy is off he's away. He pulls and twiddles away quite happily....

As the mother of four DDs this has come as a shock to me....

I thought he would start doing it,but not so soon?

My DS has done this since about 9months is 15 months now and still at it!!

I keep his nappy off for long periods during the day and after about 10/15 minutes he gets bored with it. The worst thing is he rolls the end of it between his finger and thumb!

MerlinsBeard · 13/02/2007 22:08

Both mine did it. In fact they both still do in that instant between taking off pants/nappy and putting clean ones on they are nearly 2 and nearly 4

allyco · 13/02/2007 22:08

mine sticks his finger in the end (and he has really sharp nails....)

yep.

Really roughly as well which shocked me. He doesn't seem to feel the pain.

CountTo10 · 13/02/2007 22:08

I'm afraid it starts at birth and never stops!!! My dp of 32 still sits there fiddling with his bits while he watches tv, drives me up the wall!!! What fascinates me with ds (2.5) is that he pulls his about so much I wonder how it can't hurt!!!!! Have you had the whole erection thing yet???

cece · 13/02/2007 22:09

You wait - once DS was a toddler he used to undo his nappy while we were out in the buggy and it would stick out of his shorts

Nemo2007 · 13/02/2007 22:09

yep..ds is 3.4yrs now and still constantly foes it..in fact he now asks me to look while doing it. DD1[13mths] also has a fiddle with herself when nappy is off so suppose its normal

poppiesinaline · 13/02/2007 22:10

yep, its a boy thing DS2 (22 months) even started to try to get at DS1's (10 years) the other evening. He actually lept across the room to try and grab it much to DS1's horror!!!

pinkchampagne · 13/02/2007 22:10

I'm afraid so, and they don't grow out of it either!

fireflyfairy2 · 13/02/2007 22:11

Mine pulls his & tweaks it til my eyes water. One day DH made me change ds's nappy, when he was in the middle of changing him, as it was paining him too much to see ds do that to himself!

scampadoodle · 13/02/2007 22:15

(Sigh) yes, they do apparently. As the mother of 2 small DSs I am constantly perplexed at their obsession. That's all I'm saying...

I think it goes in phases though, as DS1 (now nearly 5.6) has cooled off in the past few months.

ComeOVeneer · 13/02/2007 22:17

Yep ds (2.2) does this as well, and tbh he is pretty brutal with himself, but doesn't seem to hurt it. That aside he now goes around saying (courtesy of dh) when he has "passed wind", "farties funny mummy".

pinkchampagne · 13/02/2007 22:18

Think my 7 year old DS has started to get worse! He is constantly playing with it in the bath, & when I said "Leave it alone!" to him the other evening, he replied "I always play with it when I am in bed!!"

PeachesMcLean · 13/02/2007 22:18

Yep.
DS is 5. I never knew they were so stretchy.

PhoenixGirl · 13/02/2007 22:23

Oh yes my ds (12mth) makes dh's eyes water lol.

twoisenoughmum · 13/02/2007 22:27

Oh yes, and as soon as he could string the words together "look my willy's gone all pointy Mummy". Tbh, my DD (6) is also fascinated by the DS's (3.5) parts and has a good yank on it every now and then. I wonder how much I should say but choosing to ignore it atm.

edam · 13/02/2007 22:31

Oh Lord yes! Ds used to stretch his so far that I was worried he'd bloody break it, or at least give himself a nasty eye injury when it snapped back.

cece · 13/02/2007 22:42

Oh yes and it gets worse. We were in M&S. I wondered why all the old ladies were glaring at us!

Have never been back to that partiuclar branch...

Flamesparrow · 13/02/2007 23:05

Loves it - has from day one! Yanks it and stretches it in a painful way!!!!

Its the look of peace when he has one hand on his bits and his other thumb in his mouth is looooooovely
