Does you child like to Bath or Shower?

DD1 is now 7 and for the last couple of weeks has asked to have showers by herself rather than share a bath with her 5 year old sister. This is great and a sign that she is growing up although does seem to make it a bit more time consuming for me as I'm used to just putting them both in the bath together. DD1 does well in the shower but does need a bit of help with getting the shampoo and conditioner washed out of her hair.
Just interested to hear what other kids of a similar age like to do.

My 7 year old DS prefers a bath. He doesn't even like the shower hose on the bath, because he doesn't like water getting in his eyes!

Mine adore baths. DD2 is 13 months and if i say the word bath she runs down the hall and shoots up those staris and stands at teh bath shouting till I run the tap. Then she tries to climb up the side of the bath and get herself in!

They both really like it if I turn the shower on in the bath and make it rain though

Again if I tip water over Dd2 head she goes beserk with excitment!

Whoops, just seen you're talking about older kids.
Oh well will press post anyway!

DS1 (nearly 9) - definitely shower. I turn it on for him because our mixer taps are fiddly, but does everything himself.

DS2 (6.5) - prefers baths because he likes playing in them, but often plumps for a shower because it's quicker. Washes himself, but I have to do his hair as he hates getting water on his face.

DD (3) - prefers baths because she can play, and loves it when I close the shower curtains and let her jump up and down and kick the water about after I pull the plug (it drains really slowly)
