Sleep regression! HELP!

My little lady is now 16 months old and will NOT sleep through the night! She has always been a fantastic sleeper until very recently. I've never really suffered with any of the other sleep regression stages so I'm really struggling with this one. She wakes up at the same time every night screaming not crying sometimes hungry other times she just wants to cuddle or chat away. Last night was the final straw I've tried to stick with my routine that usually sees her back of yo sleep but last night I had no luck.. It resulted in listening to whinging until 4:30 am! She then woke up at 7 am! Could this be sleep regression or is it something else? She is acting rather out of character through the days (screaming at the top of her lungs whenever I'm in public seems to be a favourite at the moment) any tips or advice around this would be so much appreciated! I can't deal with the behaviour any more

Hi we have had the same with DS, had a nightmare few weeks and months. Found it was both developmental and cutting his molars. We have had horrendous periods then he settled back down. Then we are going through the 18 month sleep regression/teething big style at the minute so I feel ur pain. Tantrums have been terrible! I think they are just going through so much at that age and becoming more aware and more frustrated. Sorry I can't give a magic answer but I'm with you and it's damn hardwork. It will calm down soon and then it will be the next stage. Just keep up your routines and be consistent that's all I can say xxxx

We seem to be hitting a major sleep regression at the moment at 17 months with DD2. Screaming in the night, wanting us to stay despite having self settled since tiny. She is also being properly stroppy in the day. Probably teething too.

Apparently it's normal. Not fun though. It is supposed to pass in a month or two
