Hormones or madness?

I don't know whether it's because I'm 7 months pregnant or just the mother of a testing 2 and a bit year old but I really lost it today. I just can't seem to stop yelling at her as she wont do a thing I ask. I can't imagine how we will cope when the baby arrives. Unfortunately, the only answer at the moment seems to be to eat tons of chocolate as a way of trying to dull the depression. Any words of wisdom?

more chocolate for you and her. I did the same with my poor ds (and dh) when I was pregnant and neither seems to have long term effects from it.

second vote for the chocolate here
i found my need for choc disappeared after the baby was born. i also found coping with baby and toddler easier than pregnancy and toddler.
Do you have a nap at the same time as dd? i always found this a lifesaver. when second baby comes there never seems to be a chance...they never seem to nap at the same time

Thanks for your messages. Just to know that there are others who understand is like therapy! Today has started much better - my little darling has gone to nursery today so a chance to have some "me" time - what luxury! Re Nap : I do tend to have a nap when my toddler does. Once the baby arrives I imagine that will go out of the window - how frayed will my temper be then?!! Hopefully, as you say, preggers and todd is more difficult than toddler and babe - here's hoping!

Another 'loon' here, I spent the weekend in a dark fog of hormones alternating crying, with rage for absolutely no reason whatsoever. I am about 6.5 months pregnant ShirleyT so maybe its something stage of development of the new baby we are going through or something?

I worry about how to cope with 2 as well, think it is quite common.

I try and sleep when dd does (19 months) and agree on the choc remedy .

Me too!! Have not stopped crying all morning as have had a big argument with my best friend. Cannot even bring myself to talk to her about it as it sends me back into floods. 31 weeks also. It has got to be a bad hormonal time for us right now!!! does anyone know when it might calm down?

Dino - Have ordered some books off Amazon along the lines of "How to stop being a screaming banshee" and "Manic Mothers Manual"!! Unfortunately, I probably wont be able to see through the floods of tears to read them! DD decided she did not want to get her clothes on this morning. Once again we went through the mass negotiations and then screaming (me and her). I just can't remember whether it was like this before I was preg. Perhaps it's just pregnancy related selective memory!
