Reward Charts

HI, would like some advice from anyone who uses reward/sticker charts. My DS is 3.4 and I would like to start using one to encourage good behaviour. I'm just not sure what to include and how to set it up.

The main issues I would like to address with him are:
Staying in his own bed all night
Getting up later in the morning (currently 5ish)
listening to me and doing what is asked
Being kind to his brother
Sitting down and eating his dinner

Are these things that I could put on the chart? If so how should I set it out & how many stickers = a reward?

Should a reward be given daily depending on number of stickers or weekly?

Sorry probably stupid questions but I want to get it right, so I don't end up confusing him!

put them all in - and reward once a day (or maybe twice to start with) - maybe one sticker for each category with extra if have tried especially hard in something.

Thats the sort of thing I did when ds was that age and still whip it out occassionaly 2y years letter if behaviour becomes challenging.

We do the chart together and discuss whats what as we go then I get a piece of A4 and write what good behaviour you get a sticker for in a margin down the left hand side - explaining as I go. I always add an extra one that say 'bonus' so you can earn extra for being really good or doing something nicely. then I do days of the week across the top in columns and you're done. Arm yourself with stickers and away you go. End of the week small treat, which is 'a surprise' usually something for about £1 a comic or small car or chocolate etc.

Hey presto!

Thanks for the advice, like the idea of having a bonus column. Will sit and do it with him this afternoon, see how we get on!
