Son has poohed twice in friend's bedrooms and peed on a friend's chair.First pooh was an accident - he had diarrhea, 2nd pooh and pee on purpose. He is 4. My friends think he has a problem even though these are isolated incidents.Nursery teacher isn't worried. What do others think?

Oh dear...I have no personal experience but our nephew used to poo in odd places when he was upset with his parents. He is now 7 and it is all a fading memory. My sense is that he is still young and may be testing hi boundaries with the second incident. He is still very young so without worrying overly much, I would make it clear to him that he needs to poo in the toilet.

That is my sense, it's just so embarrasing, I am constantly defending him from 'well meaning friends' who think he's got a problem.

How awful for you. Are there other reasons that your friends worry or do they just happen to have perfect children? Unless it becomes a habit then I don't think you need to even think about it again...
