Hair pulling dammit!

My DD is nearly 15 months, she has recently started pulling my hair, really yanking at it. I have told her off / shouted at her / smacked her hand (lightly) when she refused to let go etc but she just laughs and thinks it is funny.
I picked her up from the child minders today, she had pulled another girls hair in the car (they were both in the back, so the CM couldn't do anything for a while, pratically drove for a bit with my dd pulling the other girls hair) and shed pulled her hair a fair bit in the afternoon.
How do i get her to stop?!

I'm having exactly the same problem with my dd who's also 15 months old! It's very painful isn't it? It's especiallt annoying as I carry her in a back pack on my back a lot and she just cannot resist pulling my hair, and as she is on my back, I can't even get to her to tell her off. She also thinks it's hilarious. I'm really hoping it will be a phase that she grows out of very quickly.

I was hoping its a small phase!! I know it sounds wimpy but it does hurt!

Sometimes when she's on my back and grabs my hair no matter what I do or say, she just will not let go. I've practically had to dislocate my arm trying to prise her fingers open so that she will release my hair.

So it's not just my banshee then! My DD does the same. She was playing the other evening, I was sat on the floor and she came up behind me and yanked a big chunk of my hair, giggling!
I dont mind as much when she does it to me but cant believe she has stared pulling another childs hair!

My little darling uses my hair as a comforer to send her to sleep and yes it does hurt. These babies don't know their own strength! You have my sympathy!

mine also likes to play with my hair to send herself to sleep. she is also terrible for really pulling it when she is cross/tired. she is 5 mths and i don't think she really understands NO! yet. It does really hurt dosen't it! I don't have much sight and have to get very close to her to do pretty much anything. I have very short hair but she can still reach and she gets this glint in her eyes.... I will be watching this thread with interest as I don't want it to continue t0 15 mths!
