Restless Nights at 4 yr old

My 4yr old DD has been waking in the middle of the night for the past six months. When awake she just plays in her room and sometimes calls us thru at 3am for silly reasons. This can be annoying but not really a concern.
She hasn't had an afternoon nap for about a year or more. She wakes at about 7am in the morning and is put to bed at 7pm but 9 times out of ten she wakes up between 11pm and 2am and is awake for about 3 hours. This has a knock on effect the following day when she is tired but won't sleep. Hence she goes to sleep straight away at 7pm but wakes again.
When I was young I had a friend who said she was hyperactive and used to wake in the night like DD does. The only condition I hear of at the moment is ADHD and I know DD DOESN'T have that. She has her tantrums but so does every four year old.
This is becoming more of an issue to me as I am 10 weeks pg and don't wish to be up at night with a baby and a toddler who can't/won't sleep at the same time.
Has anyone any ideas as to how to manage this restless nights.

Snowytyhoonsmum - two questions? Is she dry at night? & does she have a duvet? Reasons being I've got a 4 year old boy and once we got him up earlier for a regular night time wee he was a lot more settled and the other reason was that he hated his duvet and was waking up cold and uncovered, we have now swapped to a sheet & blanket which we can tuck in around him and he is far less restless and rarely wakes up in the night.

Might be worth giving a go? good luck with gettting your dd to settle and with your pregnancy, hope she lets you get some rest soon.

I always wake her to wee b4 I go to bed. She has been dry day and night for about a year. (A few accidents but that is life)
She has a duvet. I thought she may be cold so she has the spare duvet under the main duvet and she sleeps between the two. It seemed to stop the top duvet slipping off but she still wakes.
