My DS is 16 months old. He's always been a "sicky" baby, and also a very fussy eater. He has the weakest stomach in the world, and throws up at least once/week, often more. Lately it's been every day. It usually happens at bedtime, often if he gets upset when I leave the room. He starts to cry, coughs, then throws all his tea back up again. Consequently I never let him cry, not even for a second. But sometimes he's sick anyway. I've just had to wash all his cuddley toys, sheet, sleepsuit, sleeping bag, carpet etc etc. It doesn't seem to matter what he eats, or when, or how much, or how much milk he has at bedtime.

I'm a GP myself, and I'm certain it's nothing serious. He's very well, thriving etc. But I'm finding it quite demoralising, and wondered if anyone else has had a similar experience. If so, how long did it last?

Sympathies. My ds (age just 2) was/is like this.

He suffered badly with reflux as a baby and I think still has a 'weakness' in this area.

He has been much better for the last month or 2.....

Sorry can't help much, but you're not alone.

My nephew was just like this .. it was awful for my sis as it really got her down. They took him to GP, hospital for tests etc, but they said nothing was wrong.
He improved a lot when he was about 4 .. and is only sick very occasionally now
