i Have used one on DD1 since she was two, she is now three. She understands it i started of putting a sat on when good or if we had been out and she was good i have just started taking stickers off when needed. The first time a sticker came off she cried for about 10mins. I think i have only ever had to take a sticker off twice since she gets one warning then a sticker comes off.
DD2 has just got a sticker chart but she doesn't fully understand it yet

DS doesnt get it at all, either that or he just doesnt care.

Counting is my weapon. Just the warning that I am going to start counting is enough.

I was sceptical....anyone else has had been successfull with this?

I think it can be very useful for some, although funnily enough, I dont know anyone in RL who has used them.

Im sure there will be some more success stories on here.

They've been very successful with dd (nearly 4) for a year or so - I've used them when there is a phase of particularly difficult behaviour rather than regularly, and they've been so successful that we have only ever needed to use them for a few days at a time. It has been used for general rubbishness getting dressed, going to bed etc. and more recently she started wetting herself and she got a sticker for every half day she stayed dry - 10 stickers = a Scissor Sisters cd! We started on the next row and she wanted Barbie Girl - but she has stopped peeing and forgotten about it now thankfully! I just hand draw the charts and use whatever stickers she has around. I used to draw a sad face instead when she kicked off before going to nursery, bed, bath etc. and she hated that. She could then cover the sad face with a sticker when she had done whatever it was she was supposed to do. HTH.
