My ds is 2 1/2 he has been toilet trained since march and has done very well with it. He is also out of nappies during the night. The last week he has done nothing but wet himself. When i ask if he has wet he just repies yes he does not even seem bothed. I dont know what to do, i seem to be changing him all day. We had a baby 10 weeks ago and i have wondered if this has anything to do with it but he has only been doing it the last week.

he's very young, I didn't even bother with potty training until they were nearly 3 and dd1 was in nappies at night till she was 4. she's only just stopped her occasional nighttime wetting (she's 6)

hi kseaj. sounds like it could be the baby! it could well be he is seeing the baby wet the nappy so he can wet himself too!! i wouldnt make an issue of it to him tho, just give him lots of praise ect when he goes on the loo!!

just had a thought!! maybe when you next change the baby in front of him, say something in a playful voice like 'oh no, babys wet him/herself again you dont do that do you? because your a big boy now' (or words to that effect)

kseaj, we had this regression too when DD2 arrived. DD1 had been dry since 18 months and she was 2 when DD2 was born.We followed the advice given by the other posters and didn't make a fuss tho she did go back in nappies temporarily at night. We used Minki yo-yos so they weren't like 'proper' nappies. Another thing that helped was getting her some nappies for her dolly (or teddy if your ds doesn't have a dolly). We are cloth users so bought a couple of premmie nappies but you could use tiny disposables too. She loves this now 'Dolly has done a poo', 'wants her nappy off' etc etc.

Once a while back she spotted the Yo-yo and asked to wear it for bed and wet the bed!!!! Just shows how their brain switches off when they have a nappy on eh?

Anyway I bet it won't last long so good luck and in the meantime leave him naked in the house to save on your washing.

Thanks for your help ladies, iam not going to make an issue of this anymore. Will just change him with out saying anything. Have done the oh no baby has had a wee trick and he seemed to the like the fact that he was a big boy because he does not wee himself. So far today no accients going out tonight mil watching them so we will see what happens then.
