She is only just 7. It just seems ridiculously early. She is of average weight and height and no other signs of early puberty. Although my mother started her periods at 10 and I was 9 so I guess it could be that with her. Is it something that can be commonly inherited from the maternal line?
She is also a committed, but relatively private, self-pleasurer. Something we have wanted to address but have not wanted to do some terrible negative conditioning either.
Feel sad as hell about her getting early puberty. I was so so young and I think it totally sucks and I don't wish that for her.
Is all the milk we drink full of hormones? Someone said that to me. Sounds terribly plausible to a non scientist.

Doubt it's anything to do with the milk. It can be inherited down the maternal line, it was down mine. Try giving her a roll on. Won't draw attention like antiperspirant sprays and can be descent if she wants it to be.

Does she shower/bath daily? And if she does she wash her armpits thoroughly? My son (7) can smell quite sweaty if he doesn't shower everyday and he's definitely not near puberty but is very active playing football so sweats quite a bit!

Milks full of hormones?!?!? I have never ever thought of it like that. I bloody love a glass if milk!

BertrandRussell · 25/09/2015 17:28

Don't panic- buy her a deodorant. I don't think it's anything to do with masturbation (no need to address this by the way if she does it privately) or milk. It's just sweat.

TheBreastmilksOnMe · 25/09/2015 17:32

Jo40- yes hormones, antibiotics, pesticides, fertiliser and whatever else the poor cow has come into contact with and ingested during lactation. Unless organic milk but even then it still won't be 100% 'pure'.

Someone once said to me that milk is just 'puss' ...I didn't drink it for a month and switched to 'rice milk'. Not the same.

Get her some deodorant. I wouldn't be stressing....

TheBreastmilksOnMe · 25/09/2015 18:03

I agree, rice milk is rank lol! I prefer almond milk myself but even that only contains 2% almond (yes I'm looking at you, alpro) and I did like soya milk but gave that up due to the claims that it contains oestrogens or equivalent so not a good choice! People have told me that homemade almond milk is lovely but I personally can't be bothered to make it myself.

Thank you all, yes the regular washing seems to be working. I'm just glad it might not be early onset puberty.

I only drink organic milk just because of the amount of schiese in non organic milk, the amount of medication dairy cows are given routinely is alarming and how can it have no cross over effect?
