I've just bought him his first pack of Dry Nites as he doesn't fit into Pull Ups anymore, should I go to the GP?

Is he fully toilet trained in the day? I'd say yes to GP if so. They might suggest some kind of laxative to make him go before bedtime x

One thing you can do yourself in the meantime is introduce a sitting routine. The natural time to move your bowels is around 30 mins after eating. So after breakfast, lunch and tea, take him to sit on the loo. He doesnt have to poo, just sit for about 10 mins. This will help train his bowel that this is the time to go.

A stool under hs feet to raise.his knees above his hips and a bottle of bubbles to blow while he's sitting will all help him go too.

Thanks for all your replies. Yes he's fully toilet trained during the day. I'll make an appointment with the GP and start a sitting routine. Unfortunately he's in reception and I doubt they'll make him go 30 minutes after lunch at school. Sad

Have a chat with his teacher they might be willing to try. As a teacher myself I have worked with children with this issue, one child in particular pooed at exactly 20mins after his dinner so I had to go and bring him inside everyday to make sure he went!

You would be surprised, my son's school let him go. You don't know if you don't ask Smile If they are difficult, you could sit him on the loo once he gets in from.school.

Thanks Hellokitty and MrsReiver, I'll ask tomorrow morning.
