My son has been really manic from 1 years to 3. From the moment he wakes to the moment he goes to bed. He has a really strong stuborn too, if you want him to do something and he does not want to do it, then hell brakes out. Docs and cons do not believe me as he just sits all nice and quitely when we go.

here's something that maybe useful

It gives more reasons for diagnosis (IYSWIM)

With ADHD its is pretty much all teh time. they don't realise a lot of what theya re doing.

it doesn't always necessarily mean bad behaviour, it could be low level things like constantly fiddling or humming.

you should continue to ask for help. there are many many people that have been fighting ( and i really do mean fighting) for years before they get a diagnosis.

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is the term used to describe certain behaviour problems in children. Children affected have an unusually short attention span and become easily distracted (attention deficit), plus they are overactive and restless (hyperactive).

hyperactivity (disorganised, excessive levels of activity)

I have copied the above quotes from the bupa attachment thank you. This is especially the case. But i read all the time that they fall behind with educationally underdeveloped. My ds1 is very intelligent and this is said by many friends, childcarers and teachers, the only thing he is behind on is speech. Which is now coming through quite well (3years). I am presently battling but because it is such a battle and having to send pretty much threating letters to the chief exec of hospitals. I then wonder if it is ADHD or something like. Have any of you experienced it....
