Ds is 23 weeks I gave him his 1st taste of baby rice today he loved it so I made some more a little bit thicker which he was fine with swallowed it no problem and kicked happy for more then I gave him the rest of the bottle. What happens now? How long do I keep offering baby rice? Do I add other things to it or do I go straight to other smooth things like mash etc?

I have decided to go down the mix feeding route with purees and harder foods for him to chew suck on. I've given him soft toast he sucked it a bit then spat it out I don't think he actually swallowed any is this normal?

I have done this twice before but baby brain is kicking in I can't remember what I did. At what point is ok to introduce eggs yogurts etc?

Sorry for all the questions my mind is like mush at the moment Confused

Low sugar baked beans are great for adding to things too.

I initially had a horror of a freezer full of cubes of puree, but then I discovered that an ice cube tray is ideal for freezing all sorts of things which can then be defrosted really quickly . My freezer has a good stock of frozen cubes of baked beans (particularly good so you don't need to open a whole tin every time), frozen cooked veggies, and various left overs (casseroles etc).

Baked aubergine slices were a hit in our house... Not what I'd expected!! (& not cheap either...)

Broccoli florets are good finger food, cook them so nice and soft (but not mush!).

Google baby led weaning for ideas of finger food. You don't have to go down the whole route but there are useful lists of food.

Try this book - it's 99p on Kindle at the moment.
