What do you give your toddlers to eat after their dinner?

DD (20 months) has her dinner around 5pm at home (4pm at nursery). About a month ago we stopped giving her a bottle of milk at bedtime but instead have been giving her cereal.

I think she may be getting a bit bored of this now as she also has cereal for breakfast.

She will be hungry if we don't give her something as she doesn't go to bed until about 7pm.

What do you all do?

My twins have 'tea' (eg, crumpets and fruit) at nursery at 3:30 so definitely need something for supper. They have something like a couple of crackers and cheese or dairylea on toast.

Mine don't go to nursery so you might be right.

But they do go substantial amounts of time without snacks. Food here is 9am, 1pm and 5.30 (7.30 for us)

We don't really snack here either. They usually eat three meals a day at roughly 8am, 1-2pm, and 7-8pm

A cup of cold milk and a small snack - a handful of dry Shreddies is one of his favourites, dried banana slices, or a couple of oatcakes. I always offer, but he doesn't always want anything.

Ds has 4pm tea at nursery and dinner with us (whatever or sandwich if something he utterly refuses consistently) about 7. Bed 8pm.

Ours (21mo) kind of had two dinners. When at nursery he has a small meal at 3pm then will have a bit of what DP and I have at around 5.30-6 (bed at 7). If not at nursery he'll have his dinner at 4 and again some of ours later on too.

I've never given my dd anything else. She eats dinner at 5 or sometimes a bit earlier, and has half a cup of milk before bed. She sleeps fine and always has with this
