Our little girl is 7 and a half months. She can roll and sit up but can't crawl and doesn't like to practice standing supported. She's long and heavy (75cm and 23lb). Should I just let her do her own thing or is her size a problem for her development? If so, what can I do to help her practice standing?
Cheers

she'll do it in her own time. I have never heard of babies being too big to walk, or stand.
some just like to do itlater than others

she is 7.5 months, some babies just dont want to stand supported at that age.

23lb isnt heavey btw.

how about a door bouncer? dd1+2 loves their ones. dd3 wasnt so keen.

DD2 is almost 1 year old and still can't stand; in fact, she only learned to crawl a couple of weeks ago. Dd1 couldn't stand at 1 year old either; she was a bottom-shuffler and started walking at 16 months.
I'm sure you have absolutely nothing to worry about - she'll stand and walk when she's good and ready. And when she does start crawling and walking , you'll suddenly realise how much easier things were when she was still immobile...

My Ds was a big baby but not chubby when born but from 6 mths until he was walking he was very chubby. As soon as he started waking he slimmed back down again, I would say this is pretty normal.

At 7 mths sitting up is expected but not all crawl, in fact some completely miss this and wait until they can pull themselves up and start to cruise.

This very simplyfied chart gives a basic guide to what babies do when
