Bottom shuffler hurting feet

My 11mo DS is an expert bottom shuffler (yes I know he shouldn't, but what can you do Smile) Now we are out in the garden more and he's shuffling on concrete and paving etc he's getting bruises and rubs on the outside of his ankle, where it makes contact with the ground to pull him along. Confused

Has anyone found a successful solution to this?

I had a bumshuffler here, so lovely.
We found these sorts of slipper socks good for protecting the side of the foot, and two pairs of trousers/ tights under trousers!
I wouldn't worry too much, it's an incentive to learn to walk if nothing else. Smile

Thanks for the reply! He's such a terror with pulling things off his feet, I not sure he'd keep them on. And the problem with layers is when it's warm. He doesn't seem bothered by them, but they look really sore! Yes, but maybe it'll encourage some crawling/walking fat chanceSmile

Bum shufflers are great! My DS was an expert like yours, OP. I was a bit sad when he started walking. Hoping DD (3 months) will be too, but she is already showing signs of wanting to crawl. Can't offer much advice as we only put him on grass. Maybe trousers/onesies with 'built in feet'? Or duct tape?!
