Feeding time a nightmare...help!

We are having a bit of a hard time with our dd. Im a bf mum who feeds the wee one a bottle at the nighttime feed (either breast or formula milk). The idea being that it can be shared with dh.

However, dd has decided that she wont take the feed from dh and screams, which in turn means that I end up feeding each night, and then expressing afterwards.

Any ideas on how to calm her down and get her taking it from her dad?

She is 15wks...

Know how you feel - DS is 17 weeks and cries uncontrollably when DH baths him! Really distressing for all 3 of us - any advice?

we went through this.
To sort it out I sat right beside DH while he bottle fed (breast) milk to DS, naked from waist up so he could 'smell me' (advise from an old hand).

After MANY nights (at least 1 wk, but 4 yrs ago so may be hazy), he learnt to take it from DH.
End result = DH enjoyed contributing to feeding DS, and I could have night off, early night, bath, bed. Then, later, night out with my friend having yummy dinner.

Perservere: it is v hard but will work out. They do not go hungry for long!!!

How long each night would you persevere with DH trying before you step in and take the bottle?

kylester - we have one of these seats that goes in the bath and DD sits in it. Both DH and I bath her together although I started to go out of the room to get the bedroom ready, get clothes etc, and kept coming back in. When she knew I was about, it seemed to not bother her.

Having said that, I still dry her - I think its because I'm a bit quickeer and DD is rather short tempered when she comes out!!

DH does do things slightly differently but I have tried drying and dressing in the same way but DS does not object to me! will try witting in on his next bathtime too.
