How to stop 7.5 yo DD bouncing on the top bunk?

She's already split the wood and we're fuming with her.

I just told her she'd land on her little brother and kill him. I know it's OTT but that's what would happen if the bed did collapse, and we need her to stop.

Does she have nice bedding - character duvet cover, fluffy blanket, that you could take away? Obviously not if she uses a 'blankie' for comfort, but anything else 'nice' that you could replace with plain boring 'grown up' bedding. Or would that not bother her?

Tell her she'll have to sleep on the bottom bunk.

I'd put her mattress on the floor and make her sleep on that until she is able to behave appropriately in her bunk

My DS had a midi sleeper. We sat down and went through the rules before he had it.

I assume her brother is too young for top bunk? so yes I would put the mattress on the floor while she learns the rules..However I think my own DS would find it a bit of a novelty and enjoy it so you need to judge.

Other thing..Can you get a tunnel for the top. That stopped my Ds been able to stand up in it

Tell her my friend's DS fell off his while messing about and broke his arm so badly it needed operated on to pin it back together.
