small spots on baby's face

my dd is 3 weeks old and over the past few days I've noticed she has developed tiny little red bumps/spots on her forehead, cheeks and under her eye. There's no pus or anything in them, just looks like small bumps.

I can't think of what's caused them - and I haven't changed washing detergent or her formula.

does anyone know what this could be and if there are any remedies?

I think it sounds like baby acne, which is very common in these early weeks - my three week old is also looking quite pimply. It should clear up on its own and doesn't need "treating". If you are concerned, why not ask your health visitor to take a look?

Milk spots? Baby acne? Both very common and just one of those things. If she's otherwise ok, there's no need for concern. But as previous poster said, get HV to have a look if you're worried.

It's normal and they do go. My 3 week old has them.
Bloody tempting to squeeze them though!

My son had these, my daughter has a few but not so bad. It could be the hormones from your milk, nothing to worry about Smile

Don't want to alarm you as DS's case was quite extreme, but he had these at about 3-5 weeks. They were getting worse and worse, HV said it was baby acne, or milk spots or whatever and they would clear up.
Then they started spreading down his chest and back, it was horrendous. So I went to the GP, he said he'd never seen them so bad and was worried about them becoming infected so perscribed antibiotics. This cleared them straight up.
He's 9 months now and still gets little bumps every now and then.

So I guess the moral of the story is, if they start to get too bad do go and see the GP, despite what the HVs say.
