Wobbly head

My 15 week old has a very wobbly head and nodds like the Churchill dog. Does anyone know if this is normal or whether it is an indication of something worrying? I haven't seen any other babies doing it quite as much as my daughter and am getting quite worried.

Yes, spoke to Health Visitor yesterday who just suggested that I made an appointment with my G.P. which has just worried me more. She is very alert and well in every other respect. I've looked about and I havent been able to find anything or anyone with the same concern.

can i just ask what happens when you lay her on her front on the ground? does her head drop or can she keep it up for a while?

She can keep it up for a little while but soon starts to get upset and wants to go back on her back.

My DS was exactly the same, had the HV coming out every week because of this, it eventually resolved itself. I would keep up briefly but regularly plonking her on her front, it is meant to help develop the neck/head muscles.

Thanks so much for the advice and support - its much appreciated. I'll practice putting her on her front for the meantime and will let you know the outcome of her drs appointment next Tuesday.
