Just that really, DC2due in 8 weeks and apart from the odd 'is there a baby in mummy's tummy' Comment we make, not really done much to indicate the new arrival.... He's 18 months now, 20 when it's born.

Any advice or should we just wait till it arrives?

Dreading looking after them both on my own but that's another story!!!

There's a great board book "there's a house inside my mummy" that has been a huge hit with my DS, definitely recommend getting that.

No, he will probably be aware a baby is soon arriving but the full impact wont hit till its here!

Tip: Buy stairgates and be prepared to have to put the baby on the other side of them away from toddler!!

Mine were 22 months apart, both boys, the toddler would do things like sneak up on me whilst breastfeeding and give the baby a bash on the head with a toy truck Shock for his own safety he was shut away behind a stairgate in his moses basket!! good luck! Flowers

I used Peppa pig to help my older one understand. In the last month or so I kept saying things like, "Look how much fun Peppa has with her little brother George! You will have a little sister like that soon, and when she is old enough you can play with her just like that."
