Didn't see dd for 12 hours, now she won't look at me

I had to do a day of work today for 12 hours for the first time since my 4mo dd was born. I got a nanny who looked after her with my DH looking in every couple of hours.

She has been looked after by others before but for much shorter periods of time.

Anyway, I got back and she won't look at me. Won't smile, won't have eye contact.

What have I done?

Shes in a sulk. It will pass very soon. Why did nanny and dh look after het?

Don't be daft! She's only 4 months old, she can't possibly be ignoring you! This is more about you and your feelings about being away from her than it is about her reactions.

you've done nothing. it is entirely coincidental. If you had spent all day with her and she started avoiding you/not smiling, you might say "oh she is tired/is being a daddy's girl/a bit off/coming down with something or even not notice.

You are feeling guilty because you did the first 12 hour shift and so you are probably projecting that she is cross with you - she isn't. you are still the centre of her universe.

Can a four month old baby sulk? Hmm
I've heard of stroppy toddlers but stroppy four months old babies?

You're both over tired after a day different to your usual routine, go to sleep, it'll all be fine once you're rested
