She is terrified of being wet. Which is ironic because she is leaking out of her nappy so its not like the nappy keeps her dry. It will be dry and then she does a huge gush of wee and the nappy can't cope. (This is due to how quickly she drinks juice, been to the GP about it but they weren't much help.)

So if I leave her with no nappy and she pees herself she is hysterical. She likes the potty, but only when she has a nappy on Hmm and is terrified of the toilet.

She also hates the bath, wind, rain and loud noises like the hoover and hair dryer.

She is coming to me asking for her nappy to be changed. She does a poo at the same time each day, and sometimes asks for her nappy to be changed before she does it, if I put her on the potty then she screams and screams.

Shes 2y3m. Should I just leave her a bit longer?

I think leave her a little longer. Much easier to do it in the Spring and Summer anyway - fewer clothes!

Is there any way you can give her less juice to stop the excess peeing? My middle son is the same with juice btw - even when he had been potty trained for ages he would pee himself after juice. Even now he is older if he has juice he needs to go very urgently!

We have been giving her less juice more often, but its still the same. A while after she has had juice she does a huge wee.

I know this is slightly off topic but can you not lay off the juice? Are you sure it's not irritating her bladder?

I dont' know about potty training (not there yet!) but would say to leave it till it will be a bit less stressful (hopefully).

Its not just juice, she drinks milk and water, and its all the same. I'm not sure what you mean by "lay off" it because she needs to drink!

The GP was unconcerned about how much she was drinking (we were giving her a lot because we thought she must need it, and made the appointment as we knew it was too much) and just said that her bladder must have stretched.

Oh sorry Slice I didn't mean to come across rude - I thought that the excess peeing /urgency to pee was when she had juice. That's what I meant. Sorry if I got it wrong.

Hope you work it out.

The mistake is probably mine, as she calls anything that is in her cup "juice" I have started doing the same. I see what you mean now, no its not just specific to juice.

We all do that - end up talking like the kids! :D

I think with my ds it was just the juice. Either it was the sweeteners in it or because he liked juice and i was a treat so he would drink more of it more quickly!

I still think leave potty training a wee bit (no pun intended!)
