My 11 yo ds2 still lisps. It's not that bad, just a bit of air seems to escape round his tongue when he says the s letter. He saw a language therapist at school in year 4 (he's now in yr6) but she just said he could make the sound but didn't because he's lazy. I have heard him make the s sound ok, but in normal converation he never does. He gets upset if I push it. He also says "dis, dat and de udder" instead of this, that and the other!. I find it hard to understand him sometimes, and although he has been fine a primary school I think the kids in year 7 might give him a hard time. My DS1 could talk as plain as any adult from about six. Anyone had a similar problem or any suggestions?
