Baby immunisations - what do you think?

Hi

My dd is due to have her 12 week immunisations next week (already had her 8 week ones).

My MIL and SIL are both trying to put me off her having these jabs as they both think she is too young, my MIL says that when her 6 kids were immunised they were 6 months+.

My SIL who's DD is 5 days younger than my DD is refusing to have the immunisations at all after researching the side effects on the internet.

I wondered if anyone had any advice, I know at the end of the day it's down to me to decide but just wondered if my MIL and SIL seem to be over cautios.

I would like to thank you Amyjade - if it weren't for you reminding people what happened to your beautiful little girl I would have been torn over giving it... whereas I stunned my HV by not arguing with her about it in the slightest!!

hiya
i am a new mum and a childrens nurse, imms are vital especially if you aare going to place little one in childcare. imms work on a population based immunity so the more parents who dont get there immunised the more cases of nasty infections like measels and mumps arising trust me i have seen loads. the side effects are rare. dont worry but do whats right for you good luck
