Nearly 9 and like another child

My son will be 9 at the end of this month and his behaviour had changed so much that I don't know how to deal with him anymore. He has started being quite aggressive and rude towards his step dad and I, answering back at every little thing. He hides in his room most the time just reading, not wanting to come and socialise or play with his sister who is 2. I caught him fighting with another boy in his class this morning over a game if "it" and he's started pooing his pants or getting poo in them at least 2 times a week?! It's so bad the pants need to be thrown a lot of the time! He says there's nothing wrong at school (although he dosent seem to have any close friends), Ive been with his step dad since he was 1year old so don't think it could be that. Any ideas on what to do as I'm just not sure anymore? This has been going on for a while now and just getting worse. I hate seeing him like this and the atmosphere at home isn't good because of it.

Could you speak to the school? Have you thought about whether he's. ring bullied? Hope you get things sorted Smile

'Being' bullied. Sorry.

I would see the GP and get him checked over in case there is a physical cause.

I would also find some opportunities to get him on his own doing something shoulder to shoulder and get some communication going in case he discloses something that's worrying him.
